Boys Day Out

Today I took the boys, Kaden, Kohl, Brady and Jayden, to the Flying Leatherneck Museum. It was pretty cool, the museum had interesting pictures and facts about different missions and flights. And of course the outside was the coolest. These plane were so much bigger than even just seeing them from the parking lot. Once you got next to them and under their wing you realized how huge they are. Some of the helicopters looked like just a tub of steel, how they engineered those to get off the ground is amazing to me. Here are pictures, well some (Kaden wanted a picture in front of EVERY plane, radio antenna/dish, helicopter, jeep....you get the point, we got LOTS of pictures!

Brady's first.....

...boat ride and swim in a toilet! Ya, and I literally mean, IN the toilet! I was checking some emails and uploading pictures and I kept hearing Brady yelling "Daaa-Daaa". He must have said it 4 times so I finally got up to see what was up. I walked down the hall and found him fully dresses in his PJs just chilling inside the toilet! This kid is infatuated with the dang toilet. He wants to sit on it constantly and apparently now if we don't let him he takes it upon himself to dive on in! LOL Even as a mom of 3 boys, this is a first for me too. Kaden or Kohl never did anything even close to it....can you tell what we're in for hahah

By the time I saw him and went back to get the camera he had started to climb out....

Today was also Brady's first trip on a boat. I know this may not seem like too big of a deal, but he's about 5 months over due. Kaden and Kohl were both on the boat before they were 1 yrs old. They must have been out on the water for close to 8 hours!!! I had to work in the day and was going to try and make it later, but being out there for only an hour or so seemed like more of a hassle. I'll make the next full day trip. Jay said Brady LOVED it. He said his hair kept bugging him and getting in his eyes from the wind (trying to hint he needs it cut, I recommended putting it in a clip of tying it back LOL!) The boys fished, hung out with the guys and even got to drive the boat. Jason said he thinks Kohl is the best boat driver hands down!, said he was a natural, (we wont tell Kaden that though, hehe)

Just a cruisin' Lake Hodges

I love how the life jacket makes his cheeks all puffy!

Jason and the kiddos enjoying the sunshine!

All hands on deck, Kaden at the wheel!

Our friends' boat...they bought this for $500 off craigslist!!!!! Seriously so crazy!!!!

My husband + a camera = sometimes weird pictures?

Captain Kohl

Kohl had his first soccer game today! He has been waiting months for this moment, all the agony of watching Kaden at football, Kohl finally got his time to shine!!!
Each game one of the kids is picked to be captain, and Kohl got his turn on the first game, he was SO proud to wear that little arm band! He also scored 2 goals, one was from a great pass by Jayden right to Kohl who hammered it in the net! Great teamwork!!! Here are some pics from the game. I also added his link over with the Rooks and Predator so you can check back for updated pictures of his games :)

Slow down time, slow down!

*sniff, sniff* So my little man is officially done with preschool as of today. I knew for months this day was coming and I never thought anything of it, but it was kind of a sad morning! Kohl is having a real hard time knowing Kaden will be at a different school (he is very attached to his big brother while at school). We all agree this next year will be a big growing year for Kohl, having to really go out on his own with friends instead of always having Kaden. As I was dropping them off this morning Kohl was doing his usual clingy, hugging, mommy don't leave and then told me he had a secret. He wanted me to bring a treat, brownies to be exact, for Kaden on his last day. SO SWEET!!! So we decided that I will come back early today and bring brownies for everyone. 2 hours and 3 boxes later I have the last batch in the oven! Kohl will be very happy to give these to Kaden on his last "snack time" at preschool together! Now off to Kindergarten where Kaden will be attending San Elijo Elementary with his teacher, Ms. Long, who Kaden meets next Thursday along with all his new classmates. He is VERY excited and overly ready for his new adventure!

.............................................................................................................................................................................

And look who LOVES the potty! The last few days mr. Brady has become very fascinated with wanting to go on the potty!!! He sits and says "pee-pee" or "poo-poo" ( no action yet!) But he is trying! He also will bring me a diaper and lay down when he wants his diaper changed...the end is in site, NO more diapers soon!!!!!

.............................................................................................................................................................................
Here is Kohl and Jayden getting ready for their second soccer practice. They have their first game this Saturday, bright and early at 9:30am! GO Black Widows!!!! (such a little boys team name!)

Of course Brady had to climb in for the action, he LOVES the camera!

16 months old!!!

(there is a link to the right with all of his pictures from the sitting)

Our baby is now 16 months old! Is that officially a toddler? Well he is for sure coming in to those oh-so-lovely terrible twos! YAY! He is becoming very independent, daring, curious and brave...or maybe just more like fearless. His new trick is jumping. He jumps off anything he can climb up, but he hasn't figured out that falling and landing aren't always easy! He also loves, loves, loves swimming, and has NO fear of just jumping in the pool. So scary! I am planning on getting him in swimming lessons as soon as we get settled in with school starting and the other boys sports. Here is Brady at our friends daughter's birthday pool party. All he wanted to do was jump in the pool over and over and OVER!

He hasn't really added too many words to his vocabulary (except for the word "poop" when he's #2'd in his diaper!haha), which I think is frustrating to him, cause man does he know what he wants and when he wants it! lol One of his favorite things to say is "love you" and "Ella" (That's the daughter of our friends who watch Brady while I work). They have a love hate relationship. Brady is SUCH a boy and can be a little too rough with her (she just turned one). He likes to kiss her and then push her over, not a good way to make nice with the ladies! haha For now I'm keeping his hair long, I keep going back and forth on cutting it...ahhh, I just know it's never the same after that 1st cut and he his my little baby! Speaking of hair cuts, the other boys, that means Jay too, did their summer ritual of shaving their heads. My camera has been acting up, but I will get pics of the baldies soon and put them up.So I got some pics of the buzz heads and of course it turned into an all out photo and video shoot like usual! Here are my silly little monkeys making up funny songs and dances along with their legendary funny faces!

Hut, Hut...GO!

Kaden had his very 1st football practice today! He , ok Jay and I might have been even more excited! lol, but Kaden was definitely looking forward to this day. Man-O-man, do they give these kids a work out! I think they only took a knee twice and that was to watch their team mates getting times on their 25 yard dash. They did wind-sprints, bear crawl, grapevines, running backwards, pass routes, defensive sprints to get the flag. I think by Thursday we might have one sore little man! He had such a good time, along with Jason on his toes the whole time making sure Kaden was getting it all down and staying on top of it....(he is SUCH the sideline dad!!!) Once Kaden and Kohl get on the same team he'll be out there coaching , that will be so much fun .Oops, missed the ball, but nice air!
You can see his determination

Look at that hold! His dad and uncle must have taught him that!

Bad mama, distracting him to get a picture.
